The Covid19 Pandemic has been a challenging time for education around the world with many university campuses, schools and colleges remaining closed for face-to-face teaching for many months. PBB has been working hard to combat the detrimental effects of the pandemic on our learners educational experience. Introducing Touchpoint for safer surfaces.

As part of our response to Covid 19 PBB has partnered with an innovative company which has developed an Anti-Microbial door handle covering which eliminates, or substantially reduces the transmission of coronavirus on high frequency traffic areas such as door handles and push points, thus enabling institutions to open their campuses more safely to students and staff once again.

The Product

We worked with a network of social enterprises and communities committed to the production of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) using innovative 3D printing technology with a minimal carbon footprint. Currently, one of our partners is a Manchester-based company, Abstruse Ltd, which is producing biostatic coverings for door handles, and any other kind of handle where community spread of viruses and bacteria is possible.

The Process

PBB are introducing the Touchpoint product to our netwoks within the education sector globally. Including universities, local authorities, academy chains and through our business network.

The Outcome

Projects Beyond Borders signed an official agreement to represent Abtruse with a focus on helping to launch the Touchpoint product into educational establishments and boost the sales of this unique product.
